Emerging markets represent 66% of computer sales.
Intel, the chip maker in the world, believes that demand for computers still have strength to continue growing, it is starting to guard against the recent expansion of the market of smartphones and tablets.
According to Mooly Eden, vice president of the Client PC from Intel, the company is developing a processor architecture that is competitive in this segment.
“The amount of computers sold in one month exceeds the total number of tablets sold in an entire year,” said Eden, who is still defending precipitate was talking about “post-PC”.
Emerging markets, however, should represent 66% of computer sales in the next four years, according to data released by Intel at an event in Sao Paulo.
